Dr Elise Roberts 

Elise is an Emergency Medicine Advanced Trainee currently working at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney.  Having dabbled in POCUS for many years, she recently fine-tuned her skills during a six month POCUS Special Skills rotation under the watchful eyes of Dr Justin Bowra and Dr Minh-Tu Duong and is now ready to take on the world, throw out her stethoscope and hang an ultrasound probe around her neck instead.

Echo in cardiac arrest

Ultrasound can be a useful tool in cardiac arrest and POCUS is increasingly being used as part of ALS.  This talk briefly discusses the who, when, why and how of ECHO in ALS, including current ILCOR recommendations, the COACHRED algorithm and other interesting and thought-provoking studies surrounding the use of ECHO in cardiac arrest.
