Dr Ekaterina Alibrahim
Ekaterina is a consultant radiologist subspecialized in women’s imaging including breast, O&G ultrasound and pelvic, fetal and placental MRI, with a special interest in MRI imaging of infertility and endometriosis. She is one of a handful of doctors in Australia accredited to perform MRgFUS – (MRI guided high intensity focused ultrasound) ablation of uterine fibroids.
She completed an MRI fellowship at the Western Health Network and a women’s imaging fellowship at the Royal Women’s Hospital (RWH) in Melbourne, where she currently holds senior appointments.
She completed the ASUM DDU in O&G in 2015.
She was a founding member of the fetal MRI service at the RWH, the pelvic MRI service at Sunshine hospital, and a founding and executive member of OGSIG, a RANZCR O&G special interest group, and is frequently involved in advice policies of the Radiology College in relation to O&G imaging.
