Dr Daniel Gaetani

Dr Daniel Gaetani is an emergency physician who has trained in Southwest Sydney and currently works at Campbelltown Hospital Emergency Department. He has a special interest in regional anaesthesia which first began during his time in anaesthetics and continued to be nurtured and matured through his training and post fellowship years in emergency medicine. Daniel is a strong advocate for point-of-care ultrasound in emergency medicine and has several post graduate qualifications in clinical ultrasound. He is a member of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine Ultrasound committee and is currently designing their procedural guidance online learning modules which includes regional anaesthesia. Daniel has also co-authored the ‘Nerve Blocks’ chapter in Dr Justin Bowra’s ‘Emergency Ultrasound Made Easy, 3E’ and is currently involved in a multi-centre trial investigating the efficacy of regional anaesthesia in traumatic chest injuries.
